My Approach as a Poetry Book Editor

  • As a poet myself, I understand how important it is to nurture your unique writing style and the vision you have for your collection. As your poetry book editor, I ask you questions throughout the editing process to ensure we are working in line with this vision.

While editing your poetry, I ask myself three main questions:

Can we enrich the story this poem is telling?

Can we strengthen this poem so that it has a greater impact on the reader?

Can we change anything so that the poem reads more smoothly?

I provide feedback that is honest, thorough and kind. Ultimately, I want you to be proud of the poetry you are publishing.
